I Shouldn't Even Be Doing This
I just finished your book and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Thanks for sharing all the great anecdotes - and special thanks to Ginny for the idea for the Newhart series finale. It remains my favorite TV moment of all time.

RE: I Shouldn't Even Be Doing This
Hi Bob!
(Sorry..had to do it)
I bought your book last week for 16.98 (tax included) at an airport newstand in Seattle. I thought I'd better read the whole thing for that price. I loved. It brought back memories of Listening to Button Down #1 with my mom and dad when it was cocktail time (back when that was an OK thing to do) on saturday night. I was only about 8 or 9 years old but it was the first time I ever saw a bourbon and soda come out of my dads nose. Only two other recording artist have been able to accomplish that: 60's era Bill Cosby and Donald Duck.
Mom still has that original LP. It has some drink marks on it where, while the LP was being played at those cocktail parties, the album cover served as a coaster. Keep it going Bob. It never gets old.

Mr. Newhart: Thanks for a delightful and entertaining book that I could not put down. Your anecdotes made it all the more memorable. I even empathized with your self-described perverse sense of humor, and laughed at those jokes as well. I'm hopeful that one day I can enjoy your personality in person at one of your performances.
Please don't perform with Paul Newman, or I won't be able to differentiate you.

Dear Mr. Bob,
Just finished your book yesterday while traveling on a plane. Loved your frequent flier chapter.
However, on page 189 you mentioned Tom Harmon.
Being an avid fan of THE UNIVERSITY OF MICHIGAN (goblue) it is necessary to mention Tom Harmon had a career score of 237 points between 1938 and 1940 and was the Heisman trophy winner after the 1940 season.
Best regards, Richard
