RE: Bob Newhart Shows Season 5 & 6
Hello to all Bob Newhart fans,
I would love to put together some sort of petition to send to Fox for the release of these last two seasons. I'm not talking about any crazy thing, just some sort of letter backed by a bunch of fans ( would be buyers of seasons 5 & 6). I too own the Very Best of Bob Newhart Set on VHS with two episodes per season and those tapes are running thin. Of course I own all four seasons on DVD and would like to complete my collection. Please let me know if anyone out there would be interested in a petition. I will be happy to put it together if someone is interested...or have ideas. Thanks to all! Sincerely, Jay Riippi

With the passing of Suzanne Pleshette, it would be a fitting tribute to release the final two seasons.

I'd love to join a movement or sign a petition to release Seasons 5 and 6 of 'The Bob Newhart Show'. I have everything else available up to now on both VHS and DVD, and I would buy Seasons 5 and 6 in a second if they came out. 'The Bob Newhart Show' made staying home on Saturday night a real pleasure instead of something to feel bad about. Fox should never underestimate how many of us love Bob and would purchase the rest of his shows.

Yes, it is frustrating that they haven't brought the last 2 seasons to DVD...we have the first 4 and miss our Bob Newhart fix.
We grew up with the show...I have such fond memories of watching first Mary Tyler Moore then Bob Newhart then The Carol Burnett show on Saturday nites.
We have our parents over and they always request to watch those DVDs of The Bob Newhart Show.

Hi Jay,
Just watched a tribute to Bob up here in Canada on PBS. It brought back memories of an episode that takes place during the winter. Bob is so cold his teeth are chattering. I believe he was out shopping and was too cold to talk. Would love to know which season this was in. I am going to look for all available collections and would support your petition. The cold episode cracked me up for days... but I can't remember the story line, etc.

as was mentioned on the tvondvd site (a semi-quote from someone from fox)...the best way to get those DVD's released is to buy all the current ones that were made. In any case, I am open to a petition. I just hope there is landslide sales on Newhart first season so they will release all 8
