Saturday evenings
Greetings,
Saturday evenings were great on TV. At 7:00 P.M., here in Houston, Texas, on NBC was "Emergency!". That fueled my desire to be a firefighter. Alas, I'm an accountant. No joke, I really am. then at 8:00 P.M. I'd flip to CBS to watch "The Bob Newhart Show" then 8:30 was "The Mary Tyler Moore Show" then wrap it up at 9:00 P.M. with "The Carol Burnett Show". They just don't make 'em like that any more.

My childhood, and my current sense of humor is defined by those wonderful shows every Saturday night. The level of humor, genius, and hard work (which looked like a labor of love) were a joy to experience, and soak in... All the great ones could induce joy and laughter without having to go "blue".
If anyone knows Bob Newhart personally, please tell him that Patrick Hayes, in Hazelwood Missouri will always love him, and wants to say "Thank you" for the laughter he has brought into my life. God bless.
