RE: RE: Suzanne Pleshette RIP
The Board of Directors of the Quo Vadis Theatre Company offer condolences on the loss of a fine actress. We had not known of her passing until now, but I, the webmaster for QVTC have placed her on our Tribute 2008 page. It is the practice of QVTC to honor those who have passed on by placing a short bio on our site. We find it important enough. Some on the board feel that she was a wonderful actress and a fine example of Sanford Meisner's training.

RE: RE: Suzanne Pleshette RIP
Her best line in the '70's show was, after being allowed to sit in on a Group Session, Bob and Emily go back to the apartment, she says "How much do you charge per hour for a session like that?"
Bob says "$30". She gives him a look, then gives a Jack Benny pause and says "You ought to be arrested."

First Tom Poston, now Suzanne. :( I've been a fan of Bob Newhart all my life and Suzanne was the perfect foil for him.
It always hurts when great stars leave us.

I was 10 when the Bob Newhart Show began in 1972. I grew up loving that show. It makes me laugh as much today as it did in 1972. I think comedy was better then.
It breaks my heart that Suzanne is gone. God bless her soul. I hope she is with Tom. sargewife - 01/21/08 - 08:40:PM

We know that you will miss your "TV Wife" very much. One thing is very evident about the entire cast of TBNS - you were friends then, and you are still friends now, 30 years later.
RIP, Suzanne (and Tom). My condolences to you, Bob, and the rest of the TBNS cast on the loss of your friend and colleague.

My wife, Lindsay Nauen, and I extend our deepest condolences on the loss of your friend and working partner. She was magnificent in so many roles, and by all accounts a fine person. She will be missed by all of us, and we share sadness with you. At least her work will always live on.

Bob,
So sorry to hear the loss of Suzanne Pleshette. I was quite shocked since I last heard they had caught the cancer early and she was only 70. My condolences to you, her family and friends.
A long time fan

RE: RE: Suzanne Pleshette RIP
Bob,
Condolences about Suzanne. She was a great "straightwoman" for you and it's sad to see her go.
My 13-year-old was born too late to see your TV show but as we drove from Chandler, AZ to Henderson, NV for Christmas, we listened to illegally downloaded mp3s of your now-so-very-ancient albums over Christmas drivetime. He'd never heard you, but I remember when my dad used to listen to your LP's over-and-over to the point that I had all your routines memorized.
You and Steve Allen were so great... no F-Bombs or blue humor required... just the highest quality humor anyone had ever heard before. azgirl - 01/20/08 - 08:46:AM

Loosing Tom Poston and Suzanne Pleshette in a single years time ,leaves a large hole in the fabric of people that could make you smile . Making a smile is no small gift.Sitting on this side of the TV, its been magical and fun to share years of silly episodes and laughs. I am sorry for the loss of your friends ...
